A Gentec-EO calorimeter may be the only solution available for the largest and highest energy laser beams. Through cooperation with several leading research facilities around the world, Gentec-EO has become the expert in manufacturing, calibrating and servicing calorimeters for use in high energy inertial confinement fusion calorimetric measurement. We custom build calorimeters for both small and large lasers.

For energies as low as 50 mJ up to 5 kJ

For pulses from a few femtoseconds to several seconds in duration

Custom made for large beams with apertures from 60 x 60 mm to 420 x 427 mm

Can be made compatible with vacuum environments

Our unique acquisition system for the large calorimeters can be entirely custom built for your needs. It can read several calorimeters at once, analyze the data and transfer it through an Ethernet link to a distant PC; all this with a user-friendly interface and customizable software.

We have built them for beams as large as 420 x 427 mm, to withstand pulse energies of 5000 Joules with energy densities as high as 3 J/cm². We have also provided highly sensitive calorimeters for beam energies as low as 50 mJ for the most delicate applications.

For many applications, operating a Gentec-EO power meter in energy mode will provide the right off-the-shelf solution for your pulse energy measurement application. A stock selection of devices with apertures from 12 mm to 60 mm diameter, capable of reading energies from the mJ up to hundreds of Joules are available.
