COVID-19 update at Gentec-EO
The Ministry of Economy of Quebec officially authorized Gentec-EO to resume a certain level of manufacturing operations in order to meet our customer needs and to ensure the resumption of our operations.
This news means a lot to us because it allows Gentec-EO to be the partner we want to be again for your business and your projects involving laser beam measurement.

This will be done gradually and in accordance with the recommendations we receive from the government in order to ensure everyone’s safety amid this pandemic. Therefore only some employees of the manufacturing department will be back at work in the coming days, while the others will be back as soon as the situation allows it.
As said previously, we have sufficient inventory to deliver many standard products for many weeks and now with the manufacturing operations about to resume we have the capacity to fulfill almost any orders.

The Gentec-EO Laser Lab Awards application period is extended
Given the current COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, we decided to extend the application period for the 2020 Gentec-EO Laser Lab Awards.
The Gentec-EO Laser Lab Awards contest aims to support optics laboratories in universities and colleges in United States. Its goal is to ensure students have access to the same quality measurement instruments that are used today in the industry.
To enter the contest, professors and teachers need to tell us how they intend to use the Gentec-EO material in their laboratory and to elaborate on the physics principles their students will learn with this material.

User manuals, software and product specifications update
- PC-T-RAD software was updated to V2.00.08 (minor bug fixes)
- The uncertainty specifications for all the Germanium photodiodes have been updated
