It was designed with an optical absorber that can handle tightly focused, high-energy beams by using a diffusing absorber that redistributes the laser’s power and energy in a larger volume, which makes this laser power detector ideal for intense laser applications.
Its damage thresholds are an order of magnitude higher than all other products on the market, both for power density damage threshold and energy density damage threshold.
The UP-QED series of laser power detectors is used mostly by designers and manufacturers of laser systems with high energy lasers at high repetition rates, for applications such as microfabrication, lithography and semiconductor fabrication.
Their modular design allows you to choose the cooling unit (simple convection, heatsink, forced air or water-cooled) to reach up to 300 W average power.
