Quebec City, QC, Canada, January 16, 2026 - Gentec-EO announces the release of MIRADOR, a new PC-based companion software designed to extend the capabilities of MIRO ALTITUDE and simplify laser measurement monitoring, control, and data logging.
A familiar interface designed for desktop use
MIRADOR features a new interface inspired by MIRO ALTITUDE, designed specifically for desktop use. It enables remote control of MIRO ALTITUDE via USB and flexible data acquisition directly from a PC. MIRADOR offers familiar functions, intuitive navigation, and clear visibility of all measurement and configuration parameters.
Flexible data logging and remote control
A key feature of MIRADOR is its advanced data-logging capability, allowing users to record measurement data and log them directly in Excel files, making it ideal for validation, and automated test environments.
Designed for laser manufacturers, integrators, and end users
MIRADOR is designed for laser manufacturers, laser system integrators, and laser users who require reliable monitoring and traceable measurement data. It is particularly well suited for industries like medical, aerospace, manufacturing, academic research and semiconductor industries.
Serial command support with the new firmware update
MIRADOR works in combination with the latest MIRO ALTITUDE firmware update (v1.02.02), which introduces serial command communication via USB, RS-232, and Ethernet. This command-based interface is often referred to as an API, as it enables integration with customer automation software and provides a smooth transition for users migrating from INTEGRA or MAESTRO, while maintaining familiar communication principles.
With this update, users can monitor and visualize data on MIRO ALTITUDE, while performing data logging and automation on a PC through MIRADOR. MIRADOR is currently available via USB connection and remains under active development, with additional features planned for future releases.
With the latest MIRO ALTITUDE firmware update, the user interface is now available in French and Simplified Chinese, making MIRO ALTITUDE easier to use for a broader international user base.
