Gentec-EO launches the 2026 Laser Lab Awards to empower optics education worldwide

Quebec City, Canada — May 26, 2026 — Gentec-EO, a global leader in laser beam measurement solutions, is proud to announce the launch of the 2026 Laser Lab Awards, an international initiative designed to support optics and photonics education in academic institutions worldwide.

From May 1 to June 30, 2026, university and college instructors are invited to apply for a chance to receive one of 12 laser beam measurement instruments, free of charge. The program aims to help educators provide students with hands-on experience using the same industry-grade technologies trusted by professionals across the photonics sector.

“Providing students with access to reliable, professional-grade measurement equipment is essential for developing the next generation of photonics experts,” said Charles Dumas, VP of Sales and Marketing at Gentec-EO. “Through the Laser Lab Awards, we are proud to help educational institutions strengthen practical laser training and laboratory learning.”
